A highly experienced sustainable food policy strategist, advocate and policy research leader, Dan's background is firmly rooted in ethical and sustainable food issues.

Dan's previous role was Principal Sustainability Advisor and Acting Head of Food at Forum for the Future, where he worked for six years and advised many of the world's leading food business on sustainability. Dan has also advised Government, for example in his roles on Defra's Green Claims Steering Group and Green Food Project. He was a member of the Carbon Trust Reduction and Communications Steering Group, which developed the Code of Good Practice for product greenhouse gas emissions and reduction claims in the UK.

Dan began his career at KPMG where he qualified as an accountant before moving into food: first in manufacturing and then at Forum for the Future, after studying for a Masters in Environmental Technology (specialising in Business and Sustainability) from Imperial College London.
