Evelyn Bourke is a native of Tipperary in Ireland and qualified as an Actuary in 1987.
Evelyn joined Bupa on 24th September 2012 as the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for Finance, Actuarial, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, Risk, Purchasing and Company Secretariat. She is a main board director of Bupa along with the CEO.
Evelyn started her career in Ireland in life insurance before moving to London in 1991 to join Tillinghast Towers Perrin (TTP). She became a principal of TTP before moving back to the corporate world in 2001.
She has held a range of senior management roles, with an emphasis on finance and strategy in organisations such as St James’s Place (a wealth management company), Standard Life and latterly Friends Life, before joining Bupa.
Evelyn has an MBA from London Business School.
In addition to Evelyn’s role at Bupa, she is a non executive director of IFG, sits on the Board of Opportunity Now (a Business in the Community program focused on gender diversity) and additionally serves on the Prince of Wales CFO Network.
