Published in November 2012, this event paper accompanied our Green Strategy 2012 Summit, which explored and demonstrated the power of collaboration. The signature piece of the event was our Idea Idol session.
The aim was to take what is working in the fringes of the economy, and expose it to the mainstream. Think Pop Idol meets crowdsourcing. To ensure Idea Idol has real impact, we focused on two of the biggest questions facing business in 2012:
1. What are the innovative solutions that have the potential to shift consumer demand towards more sustainable products and services?
2. What are the innovative solutions that could play a significant role in helping organisations to build more sustainable supply chains?
Between the 1st September and the 2nd November 2012, we invited innovators, entrepreneurs and the wider business community to submit their ideas. The response was excellent; you can read all 46 entries over the coming pages.
The submissions were filtered them through a panel of experts and live audience voting, with the crowd asked to vote for their favourite.
