The Lord Marks of Henley-on-Thames QC was born Jonathan Marks on 19 October 1952, and is a Liberal Democrat Life peer sitting in the House of Lords since 11 January 2011.

Lord Marks of Henley-on-Thames is currently Liberal Democrat Lords Principal Spokesperson for Justice, an opposition position he has held since June 2015.

Jonathan Marks has a wide ranging civil practice. He has a reputation as a formidable and versatile advocate, particularly in cross-examination. He appears before a wide range of courts and tribunals and appears frequently in arbitrations. He also has extensive experience of representing clients at mediations. He is often instructed in cases involving highly technical material and regularly deals with sophisticated expert evidence.
