Susanne joined EEF in April 2009 as a senior climate and environment policy adviser. At EEF, Susanne leads the organisation’s advocacy on waste and resources, chemicals and low-carbon innovation. She chairs a cross-manufacturing group, the Material Security Working Group, which is looking at the issue of resource security for the manufacturing sector. She was an adviser to the Conservative Party’s 2020 Productivity and Resilience Commission, an observer to the Green Alliance circular economy task force and is a member of Defra’s sustainable resource forum. Prior to joining EEF, Susanne was a senior writer for The ENDS Report. Whilst at ENDS she oversaw the Report’s parliament and politics section along with its supply chain section as well as writing news and analysis on waste and resource policy and business developments. She has also worked as a senior media adviser at DEFRA and the Environment Agency. In 1999, she worked at the environmental think tank Green Alliance after completing a degree in environmental science at Kings College London.
