Tanya Steele is the Interim Chief Executive at Save the Children - the world’s leading independent children’s organisation with an annual income of £390 million. She is responsible for leading the delivery of the organisation’s ambitious new strategy to put the rights of the most deprived and marginalised children first so no child is left behind.
Tanya was previously Executive Director of Marketing, Fundraising & Communications at Save the Children, responsible for earning the support of the UK public. She established fundraising as an organisation wide imperative, integrating the Marketing, Fundraising and Communications functions to drive supporter growth and income. Tanya also introduced a culture of innovation in fundraising including the launch of new products, partnerships and award-winning campaigns.
Before joining Save the Children, Tanya spent over 15 years working in product development, marketing and communications in the technology sector, holding senior roles at Siemens and BT.
Tanya is currently a trustee of the human rights charity, Reprieve.
