The Crowd is mission-driven.
Our team spends much of our time studying how our economic system relates to society, and looking for fault lines. We’re after market failures that if corrected could deliver benefits to business and society. When you start looking this way, there are plenty of opportunities.
We turn these fault lines into themes, which we feed into The Crowd Forum, our monthly event. The aim is to create an inspiring environment where big business, advisors and NGOs can share their thinking around the solutions. Over 15,000 people have taken part in this rolling conversation since its launch in 2008.
In 2014, we added an incubation unit designed to develop transformative solutions, with a tech leaning. We leverage the trust created by The Forum to form collaborative working groups, to increase our chances of success. We’re currently developing the Curve and our Co:create process.
So what are we? An incubator… a tech business… an event organiser? Probably a mixture of all three, but above all we are mission driven. We want to leave the world a better place than we found it.
