I need to cancel my place, what do I need to do?

Please email info@thecrowd.me and we will remove you from the attendee list. Please note we require 2 full working days- notice before the event to accept a cancellation. If you need to cancel within 2 working days of the event and are unable to provide a suitable replacement, we will apply a ‘strike’ to your record (see below).


I am ill, have childcare problems, have a family emergency, etc., on the day of the event, and can no longer attend. What do I need to do?

Please email info@thecrowd.me and let us know, so we can remove you from the list. Good reasons of absence are of course accepted and are fine.


I need to cancel my place, can I send someone from my team in my place?

This is usually fine. Please email info@thecrowd.me and include details of your replacement, so we can sign them up for the event and make sure they have a name badge etc.


Clarification on Application Types

I work in a customer facing role in a company that provides services/solutions to your core audience- can I apply to attend?

You are always welcome to apply for any event, but we have very limited places (20%) for people in these kinds of roles unless they are already sponsoring the events, meaning it is unlikely we’ll be able to find a place for you.


I have attended your events in the past but am now in-between roles- can I still apply to come?

Unfortunately attendees need to be in post in a suitable organisation to attend. It is not usually possible to attend in a personal capacity.


I work for a charity, NGO, social enterprise, or similar. Can I apply for a place?

You are always welcome to apply for any event, but we have very limited places (5%) for people in these kinds of organisations. Places for third sector attendees are allocated on a first come, first served basis.


I am studying for an MBA in Sustainable Development (or similar). Can I apply for a place?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate applications from people studying to join as regular attendees. We sometimes invite students to join the event as note takers on the roundtables. If you would like to find out more, please email tiffany@thecrowd.me


I am an intern or in a junior in a large company working in a sustainability team (or similar). Can I apply for a place

You are welcome to apply for a place, but we are generally looking for people in at least Senior Manager level roles (ideally at the Head of/Director level), so it may not be possible to find a place for you.


Round Tables

I want to attend the main session but am unable/ don’t want to stay on for a roundtable discussion. Is it possible to apply to come just for the main session of the event?

You are welcome to apply for a place (just mark ‘none’ for your roundtable choice). We do prioritise applications from people who want to come to the whole event including joining a roundtable, and then closer to the event, depending on overall numbers, we will get back to you if there are places for people to come just for the main session.


I want to change my roundtable choice I originally made- what do I need to do?

Please email info@thecrowd.me and we’ll do our best to move you to your new choice of table. If that table is full, we will share options of what is still available, or you can choose to stay with your original selection.


I am now unable to stay on for the roundtable part of the event- what do I need to do?

Please email info@thecrowd.me and let us know. We may need to cancel your place completely if there is someone who can replace you on the roundtable, as we prioritise applications from people who come to the whole event.
